Today is a sad day for everyone. Anyone who knows Val Kilmer is familiar with at least one of his many iconic films. He starred in over 62 movies, beginning in the early 1980s and continuing until his final appearance in Top Gun: Maverick in 2022.
His breakthrough role came with Top Gun, which cemented him as a Hollywood star. He also played Batman, a role I personally loved him in. He was an all-around great actor, admired by many.
Beyond his acting career, Val Kilmer was a devoted father who took great pride in providing for his children. He was down-to-earth, strong, and courageous, especially in his battle with throat cancer. He never hid his struggles, openly sharing his journey with the world. His appearance in Top Gun: Maverick was a heartfelt tribute, showcasing his resilience and the enduring friendship he shared with Tom Cruise since the ’80s.
