Officers have released images of people they would like to trace in connection with a report of theft in South Shields.
At around 4.30am on January 1, police received a report of people attempting to gain access to vehicles parked outside of addresses in the Chichester and Westoe areas.
It was reported that a bank card had been stolen from one vehicle.

The card was then found to have been used to withdraw a large sum of cash and purchase almost £800 worth of goods from a sports store.
Following the report, a number of enquires have been carried out to identify and locate those responsible.
Today (Friday), officers have released images of a number of people who are believed to have been in the area at the time and may have information that could assist enquiries.
